We believe there are valuable learning opportunities beyond the classroom. We integrate opportunities into our children's learning with real-life experience.
History, arts, culture, and sport enable us to connect with opportunities in our local community and the surrounding region to give 'hands-on' learning opportunities to all of our children.
Our proximity to Sydney and Canberra also enables us to provide experiences of a metropolitan and national context.

Opportunities to study and develop a love of the arts are integral to educating our students at Lithgow Public School. Our students can access a range of opportunities beyond the classroom in:

Sports and competition
Our school values sport and physical activity providing multiple opportunities for students in a range of programs. Our comprehensive program caters to all abilities including such sports as:
- cricket

- netball
Providing opportunities for students to enjoy and develop their skills is a crucial part of our school sports program. Throughout the year there are school competitions in swimming and athletics where students enjoy healthy competition.
